Growth without top team cohesion
The Challenge
When strategy moves faster than leadership cohesion, even the best plans struggle. Here’s an example of a leadership acceleration programme we designed with an executive team to close the gap and step into the future - aligned, energised and focused.
With a high-stakes IPO on the horizon, the CEO of a fast-scaling business needed the leadership team to elevate from "great" to truly exceptional. As the CEO’s role shifted outward, the rest of the team would need to step up - taking ownership for decisions, alignment and business orchestration at a new level. But the team’s collective readiness, confidence and cohesion hadn’t fully caught up with the ambition.

What we designed with our client
We facilitated a high-impact two-day offsite that combined individual feedback, team insights and peer coaching. Leaders received 1:1 debriefs ahead of the session, allowing them to arrive prepared with clarity on their personal strengths.
During the offsite, we introduced a shared leadership language and worked through real dynamics, ultimately co-creating a team charter and individual leadership growth plans. Follow-up coaching and engagement continued for 12 months to embed the shift.
Our diagnostic approach
We began with a deep discovery process - a triangulated blend of qualitative interviews, Gallup CliftonStrengths assessments and Zenger Folkman’s Extraordinary Leader 360°. We interviewed each LT member to understand their view of the current team dynamic, mapped energetic strengths and benchmarked leadership capability against a global database of 120,000 leaders. The result was a clear, energising picture of the team’s individual and collective strengths, blind spots and growth potential.
So what?
The leadership team emerged with sharper self-awareness, renewed focus, and a shared sense of accountability. Each member had a clear map of their unique strengths and energy sources - and knew how to apply them to business priorities.
Trust deepened. Decision-making accelerated. Most importantly, the team stepped up to lead collectively, freeing the CEO to focus outward while confidence surged across the organisation. With structured follow-up, leaders also learned how to grow their teams and build internal capability - shifting from high potential to high performance.
